When I was a Level 4 gymnast at the age of 10, my coach inspired me to become a collegiate gymnast. And that inspiration and desire has continued to grow even greater as a third year Level 10. My success in school is just as important to me as my gymnastics. I currently have a 3.88 cumulative GPA and rank 53rd out of 474 in my junior class. One of the most difficult times for me in my gymnastics career was when the coach, who inspired me left my gym going into my second year of Level 9. That year I didn’t have a “head coach”. There were three younger coaches who divided the responsibilities and tried their best to continue the success of our team. I feel that experience gave me the ability to accept change, build confidence and trust in others. And throughout the years gymnastics has taught me these qualities: perseverance, courage, mental focus and concentration, physical strength, endurance, importance of good grades, self- esteem, being coachable, be a good teammate, and respect my skills and abilities. I also feel that gymnastics gives me the opportunity to show the world who I truly am and helps me continue to strive to be a better person.
My gymnastic highlight was qualifying for the Wildcard division and Region 4 team alternate at the 2022 National Championships. My goal for the 2023 season is to make it back to the Nationals Championship as a Region 4 team member. And to be recruited by a college gymnastic team.
