One day, I want to be remembered as a person - for my ethics, my values, my commitments, my kindness and generosity towards others, my empathy towards humankind, amongst others. While it would be great to be remembered as "that gymnast who did x", what allows me to be "that gymnast" are all of the values I just described above. To me, part of what shapes a person, and a student-athlete, is everything outside of sports. Everything achievable in sports is supported by all of my values within. I think it's important to be happy both within athletics and outside of athletics. Since my ultimate goal is to be a collegiate gymnast, while in college, I'm sure my happiness will abound by having a support system in my teammates and likewise, by me providing them equal, caring support. I love being a part of a team and encouraging everyone to not only to succeed, but exceed their expectations and goals they've set for themselves.
