Ever since I stepped into the gym at the age of 5, gymnastics has been a passion and significant part of my life. The thrill of flipping and learning new skills, combined with the focus and determination required, excited me from the start. Now, as a level 10 gymnast, I have spent many years dedicating countless hours at the gym perfecting skills, pushing my limits, and working toward my goals. This sport has shaped me into a confident and focused individual, inside and outside the gym.
My journey throughout the years has been one of perseverance, grit, and a constant love for the sport. Gymnastics is just as much mental sport as it is a physical one. I’ve learned that to be successful in this sport you must be resilient, and it all comes down to your mindset. Each setback, whether it has been an injury or a disappointing performance, has pushed me to work harder and come back stronger for it.
Apart from striving for personal achievement, gymnastics has taught me the value of sportsmanship and teamwork. One of the most important aspects of my gymnastics career has been my coaches and teammates. The support and encouragement from both have helped me become a better athlete and teammate. They both help to create a fun, healthy, and safe environment, where we can all work together on achieving our goals.
As my journey begins towards the 2027 college recruiting season, I am driven by my passion for the sport and my hunger to continue to grow and improve. I have a great supporting cast with my parents, coaches, and teammates helping me grow not only as an athlete, but also as a person along the way. I am committed to my goals and work hard not only in the gym, but also in the class room. Although, I have a packed schedule with school, gymnastics, and my personal life, I am able to do all of this while maintaining a 4.0+ GPA.
Ultimately, my goal is to compete at the collegiate level, representing a college that shares my values of hard work, integrity, and a constant commitment to excellence. I am confident that my experiences as a gymnast will continue to provided me with the discipline, determination, and mental toughness to thrive in a competitive college environment while making a positive impact on and off the gymnastics floor.
