As a child I was always tumbling around the house til I would drop. Even then I would still get up and continue. My parents decided that gymnastics was the best thing for me. All though I didn’t actually begin until I was 10, I taught myself all the basics. It was a sport that I quickly fell in love with. My inspiration was originality Gabby Douglas and how someone that looked like me could accomplish such high goals.
I began when I was 10, which is a little later than most, but I was able to learn and accomplish the levels very quickly. When we all went on lockdown due to covid I was afraid I was going to loose my skills and wasn’t going to continue. After about 2 years of being out of the gym, I made it back with all of my skills. and continued where I left off. This put me behind my general age group but I didn’t let that discourage me. After being back for only a couple of months my grandma passed away a couple weeks to the first meet of the season. I was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to compete for the rest of the season but luckily I made it back in time.
I’ve always worked as hard as I can to get where I want and gymnastics has played a big role in that
I go to a collegiate high school so I am currently working for my associates of science while in high school. After high school, I would like to study biomedical engineering and achieve my dreams of being a pediatric radiologist.
