Ever since I was little, just learning the fundamentals of hockey, I knew this was going to be something more than just a sport for me. There was always something about this game that meant more to me than just goals and the scoreboard. Growing up with hockey taught me so much more; commitment and loyalty being the two most important. No matter the circumstances, I always wanted to put my team first. Even with small rosters, or when the team could not find a win, I never wanted to “jump ship’. I wanted to work harder, to help my team succeed. Like the 21/22 season, playing with only 11, it never mattered to me to look for another team. This uphill battle only strengthened my character which has proven most important to me. I want my teammates to see me as a reliable player and a friend. I want my coaches to know I am someone they can go to no matter the time of game or circumstance. This is what sets me apart and will make me a dedicated part of your team. I will do my best for my team and school. My commitment and loyalty go beyond the ice. They have helped become a dedicated student and athlete. I look forward to being able to prove this at the next level in college. I knew this was something more than just a game since I was little, and I look forward to being able to fulfill this dream in college.
