I am a class of 2027 student athlete (3.79 GPA) who is pursuing women's collegiate ice hockey. My career aspirations include jobs in the medical field (nursing, athletic training, etc.). I am currently looking at schools with degree opportunities that will fulfill my career aspirations, as well as offer opportunities to continue my passion for ice hockey.
I have played hockey competitively with the Indiana Fusion 12U and 14U teams. I have also played with Indiana Elite 14U (part-time team), as well as their 16U team. This upcoming year, I will play for Indiana Elite's 19U women's team. Last season, as a 16U Indiana Elite team member, we played in the NGHL blue divison. This season, we will also be playing in the NGHL blue division. I have attended the Miami University hockey school for 3 years and this year attended the Premier Ice Prospect Desert Showcase in Tempe, Arizona at Arizona State University. The feedback of my coaches, camp counselors, other players, and coaches from the Showcase has given me drive to become the best ice hockey player I can become.
My current position is defense, but I am not unfamiliar with offensive roles, such a right wing and center. Regardless of the position my coaches ask me to play, I put my best effort into my play. I am constantly asking for feedback and making adjustments accordingly. One coach has said that I am "every coach's dream" because of my willingness to ask for feedback and adapt as necessary. This mindset is not one that I just have on the ice. As a student, I am constantly asking for feedback and asking question on how I can get better.
