Kaitlyn Netser '26 Recruiting Profile

A Class of 2026 student athlete excelling academically (4.2 GPA) and in a variety of sports (hockey, track and field, slow pitch softball and lacrosse).

I am looking to pursue a career as an aerospace, aeronautical or mechanical engineer, and attend an engineering college that offers a women's hockey program. I am currently looking at schools in the Midwest near Indiana, but not necessarily in Indiana.

I have completed 6 years of co-ed youth travel hockey (U10, U12, U14 - Columbus, IN Flames) and two years of Indiana High School Prep League hockey for the Columbus (IN) Icemen JV team (boys/co-ed team). This past season I was one of the scoring leaders for my Icemen team and played all 5 positions. I was also one of the top scoring female players in all of Indiana High School Hockey this past season (sophomore year). 

I am played on the Indy Jr. Fuel Fusion U19 Girls Club travel team playing independently in Tier II tournaments. I play for coach Kris May and have played all 5 positions on the ice this season. I was a part time player but lead the team in points in the games I participated. 

I was also named to the Team Indiana Prospects Girls 19U high school team and represented the state of Indiana in 3 2023-2024 showcases/tournaments. I made the team (of 18 skaters/2 goalies) in my first year of eligibility as a sophomore. I was the leading point scorer for the team.

My primary position is forward (left or right wing), but I have been trusted to play all 5 positions. 

In the spring of 2023, I joined the Columbus North Bulldogs women's lacrosse team. I split the season between playing defense and playing goalie. I was named the team's defensemen of the year for my goalie work as our team went undefeated in our last junior varsity season (we move to varsity in 2024). I was named a State of Indiana Rising Star for the season. Next year I will be the full time goalie.

I have also spent the last 2 seasons on the Columbus North Bulldogs women's lacrosse team. In 2023, as a freshman, I split my time between goalie and defense during our undefeated season at the JV level. I was the team's defensive player of the year and named a State of Indiana Rising Star. For this past season (2024-sophomore), I only played goalie, but for only about 60% of our games due to hockey commitments. I had a nearly 60% save percentage in net at the varsity level.
