McKenna Ruland '27 Recruiting Profile

Hello, I’m McKenna Ruland, a left defenseman from Binghamton, NY who can also play the right side whenever needed. I'm a '27 playing for Milton Academy's varsity team as a starter. I also play on the Massachusetts Spitfires 14u Tier 1 club team. I learned to skate when I was 3, started playing hockey at 4 and have fallen in love with the sport. I played AAA boys hockey until last year when I switched to Tier 1 girls.

I'm Iooking forward to learning about various schools and excited to start the process of determining which school and program is the best fit for me. Hockey has always been my passion, but I also play varsity lacrosse as a goalie and played field hockey for the first time as a freshman. Although sports are a huge part of my life, I know academics always come first and do a good job of making time for and prioritizing my school work and study time. I consider myself to be kind, hard working, coachable and a good teammate and feel these are some of my best qualities.
