I’ve loved hockey for as long as I can remember, from the days of watching my older brothers up until now. Before stepping onto the ice, I began with ball hockey as my brothers did before me. Ball hockey has helped shape me into the ice hockey player that I am today, and keeps me growing. It has taken me to the next step both on and off ice. In addition to that, it taught me what it means to be part of a team and that putting in the work pays off.
I'm a very athletic person, playing four sports(ice hockey, field hockey, lacrosse and ball hockey) making my stamina and speed tremendous. I am also very coachable and can adapt to different corrections pretty easily. My hockey IQ is great and is growing each and every time I hit the ice, turf, or deck. I tend to notice my own small mistakes and try to fix them to the best of my abilities. I also am a flexible player, being able to quickly learn the play styles of line mates and find it easy to gain chemistry with others. In addition to that I strive to cheer on both my teammates and myself to do the best we can. Academically, I diligently put my efforts into all of the classes I take. While some may see sports as an obstacle to school work, I see it as a boost that pushes me to keep up my grades. As an elective I take ceramics which, like sports, takes a lot of patience and hard work, in order to complete a piece. I hope to continue my quality skills, grades, determination, and work ethic to play hockey at the college level.
