Gabrielle Nagahama '22 Recruiting Profile

In 5 years, I can see myself as a leader on a college hockey team. I fell in love with hockey when I was 3 and all I wanted to do was keep up with my older brothers. My passion for hockey has grown every time I step on the ice and I want to continue my hockey career with teammates who are just as passionate. Hockey has taught me the fundamentals of being  a team player and how important the bonds are off the ice.  My goal as a student and athlete is to always be challenging myself because I am never done learning. I believe that I have the work-ethic and leadership skills to make a positive impact on a team. As a three-varsity sport athlete, I know what it takes to not only win games, but what it means to be part of a team. 

I treat every practice like a game because I truly believe in playing like you practice. By not leaving everything I have on the ice is an opportunity missed, and I know I have reached my full potential when I leave the rink knowing I have no energy left. As a hard worker, I give 110% every time I touch the ice. My goal everyday is to constantly push my teammates and myself to be the best team because no matter the final score, we want to look back with no regrets.
