My name is Elle Fierz. I am 14 years old and currently in 8th grade. I play hockey year round. I believe I have the skill and dedication to play hockey at the collegiate level.
When I first stepped on the ice, I instantly fell in love with the game. As a hockey player with growing potential, I have always dreamed about having the honor of playing the sport at the next level and realizing my dream. After being given advice from many people I look up to, who played collegiate hockey, and the advisement of my coaches, I realized how badly I want to compete at the highest level.
The first club team where I started to excel was the Junior Crusaders Girls Hockey Team. After a season of playing for them, I instantly fell in love with the Worcester White Hawks. I will be continuing my second season with the Worcester White Hawks this upcoming half season. I look forward to playing for the MAHB high school team (Medway, Ashland, Holliston, Blackstone Valley Tech) for the other half. During the spring off season I put in a lot of work to prepare me for the upcoming season. I run track every weekday, go to the gym as much as possible, and do weekly skills sessions. During the summer, I enroll myself into many camps such as Worcester White Hawks skills sessions and practices, Bando Full-Stream Clinic, and my upcoming high school's summer league team which holds weekly games. During the regular season I have practice 2 days a week (one of those has time at the gym before the practice). During the whole season I shoot pucks at home everyday and go to the gym as much as I can as week as finding stick and puck times at my local rink. I am told that I am very coachable because of my attention to detail, skill, and my ability to take coaching advice and quickly apply it to my play. Others say, that I have strong dedication for things that matter to me, like hockey. When I apply myself to something, I have found that I excel.
Academically, teachers say that I have a lot of drive to be successful in the things that matter to me. I have high grades that show my dedication in wanting to be successful in life and hockey. I am a very competitive player who loves the game and working through the hardships that may accompany it.
I strongly believe that I am a valuable asset to any team on which I play. My priorities in life are family, school, and hockey, This represents the level of dedication I have to realizing my dream of playing collegiate hockey. I am willing to go the extra mile to make it happen.
Thank you for reading and listening to my story. See you on the ice!!!
Sincerely,
Elle Fierz
