Personal Statement
I played many sports as a child but it wasn't until I was 9 years old when I joined my first hockey team that all other sports took a backseat to hockey. Throughout the years, I have been apart of many different team dynamics and have learned how to work well with others and even lead as Captain. Currently, I play both fall and spring seasons with the Michigan High School Selects Womens' Hockey team and during the regular season, I lead my home high schools girls hockey team, The Blackhawks at Bloomfield Hills High School. My top goals are to improve my skills in puck handling, shooting, play strategy and speed on the ice. I will always commit to pushing myself to become a better player and to work hard for my coaches and teammates.
I attend the International Academy in Bloomfield Hills, MI. My high school is a very academically challenging International Baccalaureate (IB) program. International Academy is ranked the number one high school in Michigan and is consistently the best IB program in the world. Even with the intense academic at IA, I am still able to balance hockey, school work, and other extracurricular activities. As I near the end of high school, my focus is to find the best fit for a college that combines my academic and athletic hopes and dreams.
