Frankie Sanchez '18 Recruiting Profile

Committed and Signed Letter of Intent to attend Sacred Heart University in Fall of 2018. 2017 Nationals Champion and in the net all 5 games for Belle Tire 16U Girls Hockey Team.  We won Select Academy 3-2, Washington Pride 9-0, and Boston Eagles 2-0 in Round Robin; beat East Coast Wizards 3-1 in the semi to face Pittsburg Penguins in the final winning 2-0.  I came from playing in the boys divisions out in California to my 1st year with the girls program.  I work hard on and off the ice continuing my training 5 days a week at the Detroit Hockey Academy in Michigan for schooling and goalie training with legendary Manny Legace and AJ Walczak. I have taken Honors and AP Classes to challenge myself and to get ready for college level. My daily routine, self motivation and hard work is my best asset.  My weakness is speaking with coaches, until I get to know them, I am a slightly shy. I have had the honor to play on "Team USA" Jr Woman's World Inline in France 2014, in USA in 2015, and also played in the net with a Exhibition 14-16 Boys Ice Hockey travel team in Czech, Hungary, and Austria in 2015. When I can find time around my hockey and schooling, I work PT and like to volunteer for food shelters, Special Olympics at school and Learn to Play hockey camps. This has lead me to be selected by my high school teachers to be on the "National Honors Society" 2015-16. In 2018/19,  I plan to go to college and focus on a degree in Physical Therapy and Special Education. I also want to do what I love most; Goal-tending and growing with a new Alma Mater! After college I hope to further my hockey experience in representing my country. I would be interested in hearing more about your college, your teams needs, and your expectations of a player to be added to your roster.
