My name is Teagan Lockett. I’m a 5’6” goaltender representing the class of 2025. I became interested in the sport when I was 9 because of my music teacher. She gave her students the opportunity to sing the national anthem at a local hockey game. I stayed to watch a period because I’ve always been a curious person, and I’ve been hooked ever since. As a result, I'd like to play at the college level after I help my junior teams achieve more success.
Throughout my time playing hockey I’ve learned the importance of work ethic, poise, and a positive attitude. I believe that my work ethic in practice and training sets me up for success. However, I think that poise is needed to make sure that my work can be shown, for results can be lost in translation if I’m really nervous. Lastly, no matter what a positive attitude is necessary to get through the ups and downs of the sport and life. Last season, these principles showed accomplishment in a variety of ways.
