Personal Statement

I've played hockey since I was 7 years old and have loved every minute of it. The first time my dad took me skating when I was 5, I knew I had fell in love with the game. From then on I have been putting forth effort on and off the ice, playing summer hockey with AAA teams, stick handling and shooting with my own high school team, and lifting. I have been on the Bemidji Girls Varsity Hockey Team since 8th grade (4 years) I also play soccer in the summer and school year which helps me stay in shape. I have played on the Girls Varsity Soccer team since 8th grade also (4 years) Every time I get on the ice I work my hardest and play both ends of the ice, back checking and fore checking. I have also played a year of boys hockey on the peewee A team which has helped my skills grow tremendously. I know that I have came far from the first time I got on the ice and I know I still have a long way to go, but I know I will put all my energy and effort into being the best player and leader I can be. I have 2 years left of high school hockey and I plan to make the most of them. I would like to continue my hockey career through college. I believe I have the commitment, attitude and work ethic to play college hockey. My grades are well, and I'm one of the higher ranked kids in my class. I would like to major in Psychology or English and Literature. My academics overall come first before my sports. I know that if I put my all into what I'm doing I can achieve whatever I would like to, and the last thing I would ever want to do is give up. I want to become an inspiration and I know I can achieve my goals with dedication. I'm just a small town kid trying to live my dream. And I intend to make my dream become a reality.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
