Personal Statement

My goal is to achieve a degree while I continue to enjoy the sport of hockey.  I want to continue to grow as a student, athlete and as a person.  I am willing to consider any and all opportunities and options to play hockey at the collegiate level.   I would be grateful for the opportunity to play college hockey, obtain a degree and make a positive difference on and off the ice.

I believe in the importance of balancing my academics, athletics and family.  I am coachable, have a great work ethic, and respect my coaches and teammates.  Creating a positive team spirit, encouraging teammates and sharing the passion for the game are important qualities that I bring to the team.

I am currently the starting, varsity goalie.   With hard work, dedication and determination, I earned the starting position in my Freshman year.  As a Sophmore I helped my team qualify for the 2016-17 Mn State High School Girls State Tournament,  stopping 58 of 60 shots during section playoffs.   I was honored to be named to the 2016-17 All-Tournament Team.

My Junior Year I was an Assistant Captain and helped lead my team to a second place finish in our Section Playoffs.  During playoffs I held a 1.57 GAA and a .939 save percentage, including 37 saves in a 1-0, four overtime shutout victory.  It was a great honor to be named to the 2017-18 All-State Honorable Mention Team.

I enjoy volunteering within my community and mentouring the youth in our hockey program.  I plan to obtain a degree in Physical Therapy so I can further my dedication to making a positive difference in other peoples lives.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
