Kayla Starr '27 Recruiting Profile

To play at a competitive Division 1 College Hockey program and obtain an undergrad degree in Biology and eventually go into a school of Dermatology. I believe I am a good candidate for for any team due to my strong work ethic and dedication to my team and teammates. I am a fast strong skater, good on my edges, a smart decision maker and communicator.  I have played at the national level and know how to win and compete with the best my age and older players.  I believe I am different from other recruits in regards to my character as I carry a strong sense of integrity and know who I am and what I am capable of both on and off the ice.  I have played on numerous high level teams throughout my hockey career and won the AA Minnesota State Championship as a Freshman in 2024 with Edina High School and a AA Minnesota State Championship Runner Up in 2025 with Edina High School.  I also play within the Elite League Summer Hockey program in Minnesota and a Top Minnesota Whitecaps Team in the summer.  I had the honor to make it to the USA Development Camp last year in 2024 and currently going through tryouts for the HP USA Hockey Tryouts16's.
