I have been skating since I was 3 and playing Association/Club hockey since I was four and have loved the sport from the time I started.
I started out playing on boys teams. When I was 6, I began to play goalie on occasion and then at age 10, Noora Ratu, the goalie coach for the Mega program who was working with the St. Paul/Highland Hockey Association at the time, suggested that concentrate on the being a goalie because she thought that I was a natural athlete and had really good goalie instincts. I have coached with her recently, and will continue to work with her.
I have been recognized as a team leader and described as very coachable. I am and promise to be one of the hardest working players on the ice. I have always wanted to play at a high level on a college hockey team and will do the most I can to achieve that goal.
I am currently attending St. Paul Central High School and played the last season on the St.Paul/Sibley Riveters Varsity Girls Hockey Team. My previous school was Capitol Hill Gifted and Talented Magnet School which I attended since 1st grade. There is an test requirement to determine eligibility to attend the school. All of the classes were considered advanced placement.
I am able to maintain high achievement in the challenging curriculum and my extra curricular activities which along with hockey, include piano lessons and recitals, school advanced choir, and participation on the Central Varsity Girls Softball Team.
I hope to find a college that challenges me both academically and on the ice. I would like to find the right college for me with the highest level of competition posible. I hope to become very successful and make all of my family and friends proud.
