Olivia McTavish '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Olivia McTavish and I'm currently a senior at State College Area High School! I've always wanted to pursue my hockey career at the collegiate level while continuing to excel in the classroom. I'm currently looking at majors such as biology, health science, or anything that will prepare me for a Physician Assistant Program after college. Finding a school that is an athletic fit, as well as an academic fit is very important to me. When I'm on the ice, I hustle to the puck and I'm always looking to create time, space, and scoring opportunities. Although I love the feeling of scoring goals, I feel just as successful when I assist my teammates. Hockey has taught me many life skills such as the importance of hard work, discipline, time management, and responsibility. I love all the things that come with being a part of a team, like the idea of succeeding and failing together, pushing each other to get better, and the life long friendships that are made. As I continue my recruiting journey, I will keep pushing myself towards my goals both on the ice and in the classroom.
