Reese Spiering '27 Recruiting Profile

My name is Reese Spiering, I am an incoming Freshman goaltender, class of 2027 from De Pere, WI. After discovering my love for hockey I grew a deep passion for the position of goaltending. Having played my youth hockey for the Green Bay Bobcats I was lucky enough to be in the net at the state tournament each season. For the past two seasons I have played spring hockey for the Green Bay Hornets, and will join them again this year. Always looking for extra ice time I can get to help me grow led the Bay Area Ice Bears, our local High School team, to invite me to practice and workout with them all season. My passion led me to being lucky enough to make the Wisconsin Elite Hockey League Northeast North Central State Championship team which swept USA Hockey Central Districts and advanced to the Tier II National Championships in Irvine, CA. Our team has such a special relationship that we have chosen to play spring hockey together with the 14u Sun Drop Hornets. I am very blessed to train and power skate privately with coach Jim Stanaway at Goalies Inc. and my continued dedication to improving will have me attending numerous camps and private sessions through the season and offseason. My greatest assets are my work ethic, hunger for growth, my loyalty, and trust. All traits that I feel are essential to being a successful teammate and athlete.
