My collegiate goals and aspirations are to attend a four-year college to earn my bachelor’s degree in health; such as nursing, sport psychology, or mental health. I plan to also continue women’s crew in college. My goal is to be recruited and commit to a collegiate women’s rowing team. I believe I would be a great candidate for your team because I am very dedicated to this sport and love what I do. I have maintained a 3.75 GPA while also being fully committed to my team. I have shown great improvement throughout just my first season of crew. In the first 8 weeks I had improved my 4k test time by 2:46. I anticipate improving my test times even more as the season progresses while striving to be the best athlete I can be. I stand out from other candidates by my drive and passion for crew that I have only found to such extent in this sport. I am a natural motivator for my team and driven as well as willing to push myself beyond my own personal limits. I have put more effort and passion into becoming a better athlete every day and I have made tremendous strides in doing so.
I am set apart from other recruits by my competitive nature and will to win. These characteristics improve the team as a whole and contributes to the attitude and athleticism that is required to be a successful team. I also tend to hold a high level of patience, and am a natural motivator being able to drive other teammates as well as myself to show our best abilities as a team and individual athletes. My athletics have shown vast improvement in a short amount of time and I have pushed myself more and more with each day. This will, and improvement portrays my future capabilities to further grow as an athlete. As for my academics I have consistently held a high GPA, while taking many honors and AP classes. With a full time sport and the many commitments that are included, I have been able to focus equally on both and have been successful with each one.
My great passion and ambition for crew will make me an ideal candidate for coaches and collegiate teams.
Thank you for your consideration!
