Hello Coaches!
My name is Jenna Yoder and I am going into my senior at Los Gatos High School and moving into my fourth year of rowing for LGRC. Rowing has become a passion for me, and I would love to continue chasing my dream of rowing at the collegiate level. Here's a little view into my life in the sport:
I ended my Junior year with my second election for a team-chosen award; the recipient is someone who should exemplify team values and good sportsmanship. This will also be my second year as team captain for LGRC, and I am proud to be able to bring my teammates closer together using this position. I have learned many lessons through my coaches and friends, and I have learned how to use these lessons outside of just rowing. I am able to have a good attitude about outcomes that some might deem failure, and I find joy in encouraging others whenever I can. In a team sport every person matters, and I firmly believe this; every aspect of a person matters for such a demanding sport. A person's physical, mental, and emotional state must be supported and well taken care of, and I take advantage of these opportunities to help strengthen others when they feel weak in these areas. As for me personally, this sport is the perfect fit for me to challenge myself, learn from my mistakes, and to take care of those around me. There is so much more this sport has to offer me, and I also have a lot to learn. I can bring the energy, life, and encouragement a team needs to thrive, and I'd love to bring that to your team!
