I joined crew my freshman year of rowing because my older sister fell in love with the sport and I saw how amazing the team atmosphere was. I knew instantly that I wanted to be part of that kind of team. I love coming to crew each day and cheering my teammates on, whether it is on the erg or on the water. I also love being able to have competition between each other and at the end of the say still be part of the rowing family. When I set my mind to something I do not like to fail and I always push my self to the max despite what my mind may be telling me. Not only to I push myself in my athletic career, but I also enjoy challenging myself in my academic career. At Miramonte, I have taken numerous AP and honors classes because I find them interesting and challenging. Along with school and rowing, I also play on my varsity tennis team at my high school and over the summer I coach at my local tennis club. Overall, I have many diverse interesest, but I am tenacious in all of my activities. My family is very driven in both athletic and alembics, my older sister is now rowing at Boston College and my twin sister is currently being recruited for waterpolo. At whatever college I end up at, I hope I will be able to maintain my vigorous academic and athletic schedule.
