My dedication to my team and the sport has opened up passageways for suitable positions, such as coxswaining for the women's and men's Varsity crews. My time has a novice has provided a large learning curve for understanding the mindset of a rower. I have learned that in order to motivate crews, one must place themselves to similar physical and mental conditions. I received the Coach's Award my novice year and completed two season of Varsity rowing by adapting to new scenarios, gaining respect from fellow teammates, and communicating with certainty.
Thankfully, through long practices and vigorous regattas, I manage to keep a balanced lifestyle between my academic career, my social relationships, and my expectations on the team. As for my future, I am driven to apply my skills in the courtroom. My desire is to derive a strong pathway leading to a law degree with an emphasis in history and/or economics. Similar to rowing, I demand for nothing less than integrity and justice.
