Alexa Sanchez '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My Name is Lexi Sanchez, and I have been rowing for a little over 2 years now! I fell in love with the sport after 6 years of competitive swimming.                                                       Rowing has had a very positive impact on my life in these last few years, and I cant imagine what my life would have been like if I didn't start this incredible sport. I just have such a passion for rowing, and it would be an honor to continue pursuing that passion in college. I have learned how to really cooperate with others on a level exceeding simple school projects. To be able to work together on such a deep level, and put your trust in the others around you to preform to the best of their ability is what I live for. I love working together with others, I am just a really big people person! I love getting better at what I do, I live for the moment that I drop even a single split off of my 2k time and I know that I need to listen to my coaches and put in the extra work in order for that to happen. Whether it is a single, pair, four, quad, eight, etc. I always love putting 110% of my effort into that boat. And I can not wait to see how far my rowing career will take me.
