Abigail Gonzalez '26 Recruiting Profile

I have spent most of my life playing competitive sports, primarily playing competitive club soccer and flag football.  Entering high school, I joined the basketball team, but when our school rowing team was established, I decided to fully dedicate myself to the sport, which has quickly become my passion.  Despite being our first-year rowing as a team in 2023/2024, we successfully competed in several regattas across the state and qualified for the Scholastic Nationals which we attended in May.  

I consider myself hardworking, focused and ambitious.  I approach every challenge with optimism and a positive mindset, no matter how hard it may be.  As a junior, I was honored to be named the team co-captain.  

I am versatile on the boat and willing to fill in at any position, whether it's a stroke or bow seat, sculling or sweeping.  I will be committed to give it 110% - 100% of the time!  

In addition to sports, I excel in academics and extracurricular activities.  I take advanced courses at my school and actively participate in various clubs related to science and biology.    I am also working on co-create a service organization and interning at a local coral reef restoration laboratory.
