It's race time, the water is still, the rowers are locked in, the only sound is the steady pounding of our hearts as we impatiently wait for the buzzer. This race is going to be intense...
I started this journey with Sarasota Crew in the 6th grade, the sense of leadership and the thrill of guiding boats instantly captured my attention and has helped me configure my role on the team. At times this role has been challenging; from gradually overcoming issues with my confidence to the intimidation of working with a super talented team. My devotion, vigor, and ability to efficiently correct mistakes have supported my personal growth and my growth as a coxswain over the years.
During my last two years of high school, I will start and end the IB, International Baccalaureate, program. From this, I desire to gather what I have learned and to implement it in my studies at college as well as in my position as a coxswain. I want to prove that I am worthy of the top boats and can be put in situations that test my experience and knowledge. I will be ambitious for the team and will always put forth my best effort.
