My love for this sport is not just driven by simply enjoying it or being with my friend, it’s driven by the competitive atmosphere and the hard working culture of my club. Pushing myself everyday to get 1% better or closer to my goal is something that I take pride in. In colleges, I would be looking for schools with competitive teams that encourage and pushes each other on the daily to become the absolute very best they can be. Not just as an individual but team wide.
I enjoy looking back on old erg screens I’ve taken pictures of or old test pieces and reflecting on my progress I’ve made throughout the year. I know that through all of the work I’ve put myself through there is the light at the end of the tunnel and everything my team has been working towards is just in reach.
