I have always been a happy person. I have loving parents, I’m fortunate, and I always have opportunities. I love to try new things, and learn no matter how hard it is I can do anything I put my mind to. Over the years I have had to learn that not everything is easy. Crew taught me this and many lessons to help me grow as a person. I have learned resilience, self-motivation, teamwork, and much more. My best friends are on my team, my weekends are spent with the team at regattas, all kinds of character-building experiences that have helped me learn more about myself, and how I treat others. I am lucky enough to know what I want to study, that being medicine, which rowing has helped me understand more deeply. The difficult nature of crew taught me that I can handle a ridiculously busy schedule while maintaining positive habits and attitude. All-in-all, I am so lucky and grateful for everything high school and the Hingham High School Rowing Association has taught me.
