I started rowing as cross training for other athletics, but quickly fell in love with the team nature, and our local lake. After a long day, nothing feels better than the rhythm and consistency of my boat. I enjoy how technical the sport is, and looking to make every stroke better than the last. I love being a part of a team, and feeling how me and my teammates can improve together throughout one session, and the entire season. As a teammate, I try to be really versatile, and fit into any seat my coach needs me to fill, if that's sweeping, sculling, or coxing every once in a while. This extends to my off season training, although I do erg with the team, I also enjoy lifting, rock climbing, and boxing to help me become a more well rounded athlete and avoid burnout. My strongest trait is my discipline. I always show up to optional practices, and hold myself accountable for making every stroke count. I am ambitious, and always try to bring my boat up to the next level of competition.
