Personal Statement

A year and a half ago, I tried rowing for fun on a trip to Maine and fell in love. I left varsity basketball and joined my rowing club halfway through my sophomore year as a novice and by the end of the summer, was training with the competitive team.

Every time I get on the water, I fall in love with rowing all over again. I am a perfectionist at everything I do, from academics to community work, and I take that same high bar and discipline to my athletics.
