Hi Coach:
Thank you for visiting my NCSA profile, Summer athletics are coming to a close with the Canadian Henley less than a week away. Our club team, Fairmount Rowing Association, last competed at the Independence Day Regatta, Philadelphia, PA where my assignment was Seat 3 of the Youth 4x, Race 16B. There is a further description in "Events". For the high school season, we competed in the five Manny Flicks, the Stotesbury Cup and day one of the SRAA National Champs. It was a fun season, with a lot of growth in knowledge and skill. I was happily challenged by switching from sweep to scull then back to sweep again, competing in four different seats, Bow in the 8+ twice, Stroke in the Double once, 3rd seat in the Quad once, and 2nd stroke in the 8+ three times. Remembering the adage that it takes 1000 repetitions to change a habit, it usually took an entire practice to make the transition, I was thoroughly hand tied during the transition. It was crazy and quite fun.
I am looking to find a home where International Business or Finance and/or Economics plus International Relations can be combined. Spending my elementary school years at the French International School of Philadelphia and maintaining French fluency, I plan on using this talent by enhancing it college and using it in my professional future. What you will get is a dedicated athlete, an empathetic leader and a driven scholar-athlete who wants to be part a team reaching to be its best.
Thank you for reading my Personal Statement. I hope to see you at the Henley and to speak in the future.
Best regards,
Siena Scungio, Episcopal Academy 2027
