Grace Payne '25 Recruiting Profile

Grace is extremely involved in her academics and her rowing team. Grace enrolls herself in the most academically rigorous courses she can and follows through with her work in them. She hopes to continue to challenge herself and grow as a student and intellectual in college while pursuing a degree in Data Science. While she is disciplined in school, her passion is coxing. Grace fell in love with the coxswain's seat in the eighth grade and has taken every opportunity she could to be in it since then. Grace has coxed novice, U16, U17, U19, 1V, 2V, 3V, 4V, mixed gender, varsity boys, varsity girls, and masters events in her time on the rowing team. She is also both a captain of the Varsity Girls Team by election and the Junior Team Representative on Bainbridge Island Rowing's Board of Directors. Grace has truly found her calling at Bainbridge Island Rowing and cannot imagine her life without the community, discipline, and happiness that rowing brings her.
