Personal Statement
First off, I love the game of soccer. But not in the typical sense of loving the thrill of scoring a goal, or the glory obtained from making a goal saving slide tackle. I love it because I've witness first hand how God has used it so many ways to shape who I am today. Soccer has helped me form true friendships, it's taught me about myself, allowed me to spend time with my dad, and showed me how strong I really am physically, mentally and spiritually.
I would make an excellent candidate for a collegiate team because I'm an encourager, I bring out the best in people on and off the pitch, I'm a quick learner and open to correction/coaching. I love playing on the back line because it allows me to see the entire field and lead vocally in regards to our defensive shape and tactically when it's time to switch our point of attack or assisting in proper counter attacks.
Athletically, I pride myself on my physical play, soccer IQ, and strong leg. I currently take most of our set pieces and goal kicks.
My faith and family are very important to me and have affected me greatly in what I'm looking for in a school. I am looking for an opportunity to play collegiately for a smaller school, preferably Christian based, with a group of girls and coaching staff that can be my home away from home. I'm looking for a group of girls and coaching staff that pushes me each day to be better than the day I was before on the field, in the classroom, in my faith and everything in between.
