At 6 years old, I fell in love with soccer. When my dad asked if I wanted to try another sport I responded with “Why? Am I not good at this one?” It was the only thing that I ever wanted to do, so when I didn’t make my 7th grade middle school team I was disappointed to say the least. Most of the other athletes who didn’t find their names on the roster threw in the towel on their soccer careers, but the thought of quitting didn’t cross my mind. I worked hard to reach my goal, and the following year I earned a spot on the team. In highschool, I was playing with varsity my sophomore year and I have continued to prove that I am dedicated to the sport and my team. Soccer has been a huge part of my life, and I will work so it can continue to be at the collegiate level.
