My name is Julia Simons and I am an elite 2007 Goalkeeper located in Calgary, AB, Canada, graduating in 2025. I have been playing soccer since age 3, and moved into a full time goalkeeper position when I was 12 years old. I am currently training with the Cavalry Talent ID program in Calgary. This is by invite only for the top 18 prospect players in the 2007 and 2008 age group across Calgary and surrounding area. Previously I was the starting GK with the Whitecaps Calgary REX program, an invitation only elite training program for the top 18 female soccer players for 2008 through 2006 age group in Southern Alberta, as well as the Canada NIKE Team Elite XI 2007 Women's Team, and I participated in the Vancouver FTF Showcase where I was awarded the Goalkeeper MVP of the combine, and from there I was invited to participate in the FTF Canada Top 60 Showcase in July 2023. My home club is Calgary Southwest United, and they have been a great support in my development and pursuing high level competition opportunities outside of the local club environment. I am passionate about soccer, particularly goalkeeping and fitness. High intensity training is a priority for my soccer career and I maintain a high level of fitness through my high school Sports Academy program, as well as ORKA Performance for Goalkeeper specific fitness development. I am a focused, motivated, and relentless athlete, setting goals and putting in whatever it takes to achieve them. My goal is to play for NCAA Div1 or a top Canadian University. I am dedicated to my academic career and will thrive in post-secondary studies with the physical outlet of high performance training and competition.
