Robyn MacDonald '16 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My Name is Robyn MacDonald. I am a 5'7, 130 pound attacking midfielder/ outside forward from Canada. Coaches note me for my work ethic, speed, and endurance. I was always an athlete that finished drills whether it be fitness, tactical, or technical. I was never a player who skipped out halfway through. I gained endurance by playing other sports such as volleyball, basketball, badminton, and track. Additionally, I broke 9 Track Records between the 800m and 1500m events. My fastest 1500m time was: 5:14.37. Ever since I was 14 I have been affiliating with Red Deer's AMSL Team. (AMSL is a major league team that is made up of CIS and NCAA players who are home for the summer). This year I have joined the AMSL team full time but also am registered with my U-18 Club team in Edmonton, Alberta. I chose to play with both teams as much as possible because it allows for more touches on the ball and for me to further develop my skills. I am confident I have the ability to play at the highest level because I am always a player who rises to the challenge and because of this I am ideally looking to play at a Div 1 School. I realize it is late in the Recruiting Process. However, in Canada the process is not nearly as aggressive so please do not assume that because I have started so late that I am uninterested.
