When you look up "the most popular sport in the world" soccer comes up everytime. Soccer is a game that can bring people together and that is what it has done for my family. We are not always together and may not have the same aspirations, but that one thing we can talk about anytime is always soccer. We are a Latinx family, so we have big families, and I am the third oldest of six siblings, and the second oldest of many cousins. Almost everyone in my family has played soccer, but have yet to make it to play collegic level or even attend academically. I believe that I can and will be the first to make it and in hopes to be the role model for our next generation. My ultimate goal is to play for the Women's Mexico National team; I see college as only a step to the next level, college level is my first goal to beat to finally prove myself. Soccer is not only an activity for me, but it's an escape and way to prove my families sacrifices wasn't for nothing.
