Hi, I’m Emma Young I am a sophomore at Yavapai College playing soccer.
This year at Yavapai I won first-team all-region and second-team all-conference awards. I was also 1 of 3 captains which was a big accomplishment because this was my first year at Yavapai. This year I had 7 goals and 3 assists for a total of 17 points. I am one of five players to score more than 15 points in a single season. At Yavapai I played the offensive mid(10) positio. Before Yavapai I was at Snow College and scored a total of 5 points and played a forward(9). In High School I earned Region Player of the Year, leading my team with 27 goals in 13 games and adding 3 assists. In fact, our team was very young that year and scored a total of 30 goals all year. I want to continue my soccer career because I love the game and there is no better feeling than being on the field playing. I come from an athletic family, my father played college football at Southern Utah University and my two aunts played college soccer. I fully realize Round Valley High School is a small school (of which I am very proud to attend) but I assure you I am a big talent and a great team player.
