Catherine Corlett '20 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'5” goalie from Chandler, AZ and will graduate in May 2020. I have 7 years of experience as a goalkeeper in competitive club and high school soccer.  I have twice been selected as the high school team’s Impact Player of the Year, including this year when we won the 5A State Championship.

I offer my teams leadership in both formal and informal ways.  I have been team captain for my club team for three years (and will be for 2019-2020), organizing team warm ups, motivating my teammates, and assisting the coach with training as needed.  I am also known as a very vocal communicator on the field, viewing the entire game and directing our defense. 

I am interested in all schools in the Southwest and Pacific Coast regions that can help me toward my goal of working in the sports medicine field. I love the community aspect of smaller schools, but I also like the many opportunities provided by larger universities and their regional connections. I intend soccer to be a part of my life for many years, and I want to compete at the university level and then coach and work with athletes of all ages.
