I have loved soccer since I was six years old when my mom was the coach at our local Boys and Girls Club. Playing soccer has taught me valuable leadership skills and the importance of teamwork. The self discipline I have developed from soccer has carried over into my academics where I currently have a 3.75 grade point average. As a multisport athlete I have learned a lot about myself through track, cross country, and soccer. Each sport has helped me develop imortant character traits such as perserverance, resilience, integrity, and responsibility. While track and cross country are more individual sports, in soccer I must work with the other girls and we depend on each on the field to accompish our team goals. In college I would like to major in Nursing and I believe my rigourous high school Honors and AP courses have prepared me to balance athletics and academics.
