I am a Canadian youth soccer player from British Columbia.
I started playing soccer when I was five years old. During my younger years, I was selected to play on development/prospect teams. From there on, my hunger for competition only grew. My love for the sport continues to grow each day. Whether it’s training, games or gym class, my happiest place is wherever I can kick a soccer ball. Not only does soccer bring me joy, but it also teaches me life lessons. The game itself has developed me into a hard-working, consistent, and resilient individual. My dedication and determination stem from my journey as a player. Playing the sport has also given me the confidence to carry my head high, and have pride in who I am today. I cannot imagine my life without soccer. My steady growth on the field is the direct result of my ability to receive and implement feedback. I am thankful to have experienced many coaching styles and perspectives, which I am able to apply consistently when I play. Currently, I play with Delta Coastal Selects 05 (Metro) and Premier Academy U18 Prep, and I represent North Delta Secondary at the varsity level. I also participate in supplementary training at TOCA and private training during the off-season. Some of my key strengths as a player are: my calm nature on and off the ball, my game/spatial awareness, and my ability to lead by example.
My competitive and hardworking attitude bleeds into my academics. My education is crucial, and I strive to maintain a high GPA and enjoy everything I am learning. I love to learn new things, and I enjoy diving into fascinating topics. My career goal is undecided, however, I am considering becoming a secondary school teacher with a specialization in Sciences, English, and Physical education. I am also considering social media marketing, specific to athlete social media management.
I love the game so much, that even in my free time I choose to be on the field, as a referee. I have officiated since 2018, as a certified youth referee under the BC Soccer Association, and have begun mentoring incoming referees. I am also an employed Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor (certified National Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor with the Royal Lifesaving Society of Canada and carry my first aid and AED level A intermediate certification with the Red Cross).
My post-secondary goal is to play at the highest level of collegiate soccer possible while fulfilling my academic aspirations.
