Hi coaches, my name is Yasmine Pahal and I have always wanted to play University soccer while obtaining my degree at the same time. I currently play for Surrey United 2004 BCSPL, while also involved in the BC Soccer High-Performance Provincial Program since 2016. My on-field presence due to my athleticism, courage, speed and reflexes would be a strong asset to anyone’s team. Since I have started playing soccer, I have learned the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship, and communication. I have a great level of respect towards my teammates and my opponents. I take pride in myself on being a student of the game and a hard worker both on and off the field, resulting in a highly competitive mindset towards the game. I use this competitiveness as motivation in each training session and each game to be the best that I can be. At the end of the 2016/2017 season, I received the Surrey United BCSPL Female goalkeeper of the year award. It was a great honour and privilege to be recognized by my club. Soccer has been a great influence in my academic life, teaching me to never give up and persevere through anything.
