Academically, I maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout Junior High School (and in AP classes as well) and will strive to do the same throughout High School. I envision my college years to be a personal growth period, both academically and athletically. My goal is to pursue a Business or Science major that will position me well for nursing or medical school. I have an autistic brother who has taught me significant life skills that can assist me on and off the field. He has taught me to be tolerant of others and be determined to improve on a daily basis. These life skills that I posses help me on and off the soccer field.
On the field, I plan to be a contributing player and be a positive influence on the team. I first became interested in playing soccer in the fourth grade and I began playing in fifth grade. My grandfather triggered my interest in playing soccer. He played on a junior soccer team in Argentina. During my early soccer years, he helped me practice when soccer season ended. His determination and the way he played inspired me to do the same. Through playing soccer I learned that I can make a positive impact in contributing to a team and I find it rewarding seeing the results of working together. Soccer has also taught me the importance of teamwork and being open to constructive criticism so I can improve and assist the team in advancing athletically. I have learned to use my teammates as a resource and ask for their feedback on my performance as well. The unique skills that I currently possess are that I have experience playing multiple positions on the soccer field. During the time that I have played soccer I have played the positions of center back, forward, and even goalie for a shorter period of time. Also, I have developed speed from running on and off the soccer field.
