From a young age I knew that I wanted to be a professional athlete but I knew it was going to take a lot of effort, hard work, and dedication. Now I am in high school, looking forward to play at the collegiate level and then move on to playing as a professional. I got into sports from when I was five years old. I started playing soccer then my mom put me into basketball and then volleyball. I lost love for volleyball after my 7th year of playing and stopped playing basketball my sophomore year of high school after I dislocated my knee. I never lost love for soccer. I knew it was my passion.
After my grandfather passed away from cancer, I took a halt on sports and extra curricular activities. After a few months of not playing, I was eager to get back out on the field and play for him because he was one of the reasons why I loved sports so much, because he did as well. I wanted to make him proud and to this day I still do.
What makes me different from other recruits is that I am open-minded and I see things differently than others. I see the game differently on and off the field. When I am on the field or training, nothing else matters but me and my goal. I block out everything that is around me.
