Katie Trinh '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches! My name is Katie Trinh. I am a versatile player on the field and a strong Defensive Midfielder and Center forward. I have loved playing soccer since I was 3 years old, and reaching the collegiate level has been a dream and major goal of mine for as long as I can remember. Achieving the opportunity to play at the NPL level required hard work, perseverance, and a commitment to train consistently outside of normal practices. Competing in California, especially in the highly competitive SOCAL area, has pushed me to challenge myself every day. My determination to play at the collegiate level has helped me grow as a player, pushing me to face the best competition and continuously improve my game.

Coaches often describe me as coach-able under criticism, with a strong work ethic and high soccer intelligence. Coaches are highly impressed by my ability to throw the ball a far distance, my speed and intensity on the field, and my commitment. As my coach often says, “it’s not about going through the motions, it's about giving me a perfect effort.”  

Academics are a top priority for me, and I work hard to maintain a strong GPA while taking AP and Honors courses across all major subjects. In addition to my studies, I enjoy giving back to my school and community by volunteering regularly at church and school, and leading initiatives with my club, @projectladybulldogs, which focuses on female empowerment in sports throughout my highschool. I plan to pursue a degree in Business marketing and am eager to attend a school that will challenge me both academically and athletically.
