2016 Highlights
Devyn Kelley Marc...Hi! My name is Devyn. Thank you for viewing my profile! I have been playing soccer since I was four years old. I played recreation level soccer for four years and then started competitive at the U10, bronze, level in 2010. I have been playing competitive soccer for eight years now. I played for the Galt Strikers of Galt Futbol Club, at the state premier level for seven years. I now play for Central Valley Surf At the NPL level. I have been voted to be one of the captains on my team. The years that I have been captain have been an incredible experience. To be seen as a leader on and off the pitch is a true honor and I try to be the best teammate and captain that I can be. My freshman, 2015-2016, year, I tried out for my high school's soccer team and made varsity. I was a starter in the number three position and played every minute, every game. My sophomore, 2016-2017, year I again made varsity and started every game, playing the whole game. For a long time I have wanted to play college soccer. My club team was recently honored with becoming a Surf-affiliated team. We are now part of the Surf Club. My goal is to make a college team and keep up my grades at the same time. From there, my ultimate goal is to play professionally and I am not afraid of the hard work I must do in order to get there.
Soccer has taught me to remain confident in myself. If I don't get something the first, second, or even third try I have learned to not give up. Soccer taught me to keep working on what I believe in, and eventually I will get it. I have also learned that nothing comes free. I must always work for what I wish to achieve and I am very willing. My coaches can always expect me to give 110% on the field and in the classroom. I respect my coaches very much and I am very grateful for the time they put in to make me and my team better players and individuals.
Aside from playing soccer, I run track through my high school, Liberty Ranch. I also raise and show a pig through LR, and maintain straight A's, and a 4.0 GPA. I am involved in my Church and my faith is number one in my life. Each summer I attend Hume Lake Christian Camp up in the mountains. My family is very important to me and I am very grateful for the many amazing people in my life and all the support they give to me.
I am a very hard worker on and off the field and I know that as long as I keep giving 100% in all that I do, that I will eventually succeed. Thank you for viewing my profile and taking the time to learn a little about who I am! I would love to hear from you!
Thank you for your time,
Sincerely, Devyn Kelley
