Gabi Wilcox '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello coaches, my name is Gabi Wilcox. I graduated from Dos Pueblos High School in 2023 and currently am a captain on the Santa Barbara City College Women’s soccer team. I started playing soccer when I was five and it quickly became a sport that I was passionate about. Coaches have told me that what sets me apart is the way that I think of the game and that I’m a smart, technical player. I seek out constructive feedback from both coaches and teachers and use the feedback to continue to better my game and to continue to be strong in my academics. I am currently a psychology major and work at an elementary school with kids 1st-3rd grade. I am very passionate about mental health and helping others. I’ve dedicated many hours not only to soccer and academics, but also to volunteering as both a junior coach in youth soccer and through the Youth Wellness Connection which is a leadership program educating students to become mental health upstanders.
