2019 HighlightsHi, my name is Sienna Drew. I am 17 years old and I have been playing soccer for thirteen years. I play as a center forward and winger. I currently play for Los Angeles Surf at the Discovery level and Granada Hills Charter High School Varsity team. Some of my greatest achievements in soccer have been playing one year on an all-boys team at ages 11-12, playing in the annual Maccabi Games (representing the L.A. Westside), becoming the leading goal scorer on my high school’s junior varsity team, and recently winning city (CIF) championships with my varsity HS team.
I am in the International Baccalaureate program in school, in which all of my classes are higher level and the courses are taught in other IB curriculum schools, internationally. I consider writing my favorite academic activity and one that I tend to accel at. This fall semester, I received a GPA of 4.7, while my cumulative GPA is 4.2. Outside of school, I am active in my Jewish community. This year I am President on my Temple’s youth group (United Synagogue Youth) and was also a payed teacher's assistant of the religious school.
One passion I’ve adopted is my love for traveling. I’ve been to 11 foreign countries including some in Africa, Central America, Asia, the Middle East and Europe. Seeing different parts of the world has deepened my appreciation for other cultures and even allowed me to experience the love of soccer in different countries by touring stadiums and running into local, and always enthusiastic, soccer fans.
I can’t wait to continue to bring my skills and passions along with me as my level of education and soccer continues to grow!
