Hi, my name is McKenzie McClelland but in the soccer world I am often referred to as "Kenz" or "Brute". I have been playing soccer ever since I was a little 5 year old girl who lived in Portland, Oregon. Since then, I have made the big move to Tustin, California with my family (reasons consisting of my father's and mother's work opportunities) and have continued to grow and develop into the student athlete I am today. I currently am a junior attending Beckman High School and I play for our JV team as well as playing for the club team Pateadores based in RSM (GU00) enlisted in the Champions League, and I make sure to keep up and make my academics the number one priority by maintaining above a 3.5 GPA.
I would say I am pretty aggressive and won't back off of any tackle and am not afraid to get dirty or bloody (hence the reason for my nickname). I have always been able to really understand the game and be able to see the field and where to place the ball. My best skills would be my ability to send solid through-balls, complete a proper 1-2 or give and go or overlap, and I have strong legs and a good kick. I am still growing and learning and I hope to improve my game in any way I can. I am very coach-able and am great at taking advice and using it with my next play and continuing to practice it.
It would be a dream to play college soccer and be given the opportunity to step out on that field for another 4 years and play the game I love. I am very open to anything and am excited to forgo this dream and push myself to see just how far I can get.
